Introducing…. Jen!

Plunging 2014 Pinot Noir

Plunging 2014 Pinot Noir

It’s been a very busy past few months here at KO HQ. Vintage 2014 is done and dusted, and most of the assessments for the new Sauvignon Blanc wines and other aromatic white varieties have been completed by the winemaking team. There is some exceptional quality from this year’s harvest, though due to a heavy, persistent rain event at its culmination there will be some not-so-good examples of Sauvignon Blanc out there from those vineyards that came in too late. In terms of reds we’ve got some very exciting Pinot Noir in the pipeline, and also some dazzling Syrah. These babies are hibernating in an array of barrels over the winter months and will continue to do so into Spring.

We’ve had our Irish PA Faye leave and our new Scottish PA Jen join the team! You can find out more about Jen here.

Matt has just returned from his annual Spring visit to Europe to complete consulting in Italy and France, as well as engage with the trade and customers throughout the UK at events such as the London Wine Trade Fair, which has this year returned to its original location at Olympia.

Now it is time to plan for the year ahead, to start thinking about the 2014 European vintage and to enjoy the glory that is winter slow-roasts in Marlborough!
